Focus the camera lens
I've been here in the past
But never made the ascent
As the treeline falls far below
There's nothing hiding my face
From the wind as it blows
The storms that howl and glow

When I opened my heavy eyes
The golden hills were overthrown
By the roiling skies
Under close watch of the angels near
Just a stone's throw away
Their song so clear
A sound that only darkness fears

Before the day marches onward again
I'll try to create
A frozen picture frame hung on the wall
