Lighthouse on the Coast
Somewhere out there
Hidden in plain sight
Riddled with tears
Humble yet strong
Driven by nothing beyond
Leaving the line
Cause you know that it
Circles back inside
Rather lose out than
Wonder your whole life
Seems to be likely a hoax
That one could be lost with
This lighthouse on the coast
How long till you sail back around
I wouldn’t be surprised if
Things are as they are now
The evening’s awake
And showing its guts
For all to make
A guess at the end,
The start, and the cause
And whereupon choice
Is squandered in favor
Of a single voice
There will always be those
That can see through the fog
So it seems to be likely a hoax
That one could be lost with
This lighthouse on the coast
How long till you sail back around
I wouldn’t be surprised if
Things are as they are now
Somewhere out there
Hidden in plain sight
Riddled with tears
Humble yet strong
Driven by nothing beyond
Leaving the line
Cause you know that it
Circles back inside
Rather lose out than
