Oldest Friend
Sitting with the ghost
Talking about how things have changed
Mile after mile everything we do
Is wearing at our days
Maybe all this time
We didn't want to live with the doubt
In hopes the future
Kings and queens and such
Have got it all figured out
Well as for me I’ve cared
For the last time
Cause we’re just passing waves
In the fault line
And when the day finally comes
When they go on and light the sun
Here we go around again
Our oldest friend
Cornered by the flames
But they're telling us that all is fine
How can it be so hard to see when
Were covered in all this light
Somewhere in the distance
Set upon a current so clear
I was all alone turning over stones
When hell or what have you appeared
But as for me I’ve cared
For the last time
Cause we’re just passing waves
In the fault line
And when the day finally comes
When they go on and light the sun
Here we go around again
Our oldest friend
