Second Set of Eyes

Well it seems we found the waves
But how long could we really stay
Cause I’ve been starting fires
Just to see where they might lead
 
So we drove out to the beach
And asked a favor of the sea
I said don’t you forget me now
Cause I’ll be back again soon
Need a second set of eyes
To see this lifetime through
 
Then breeze came
Crashing through our coats
Laid waste to our solace
It was clearly time to go
And then woods rolled by
Replaced my vision
With that never ending train
Need a second set of eyes
To be sure not everything’s in vain
 
Well stay your fears
And let know if I’m being unclear
Cause this is the part when we lose control
And find out what it takes to grow
 
The passing lane
Tends to be where I leave my traces
I’ll keep my eye on the soon to be
But nothing is ever guaranteed
 
So it seems we found the waves
