Took a Trip
Well I took a trip to clear my mind
But all I found
Was that my life was misaligned
I’m going nowhere and
Dragging my feet on the way
Cause somewhere hidden
Under the leaves
There’s a mark
Etched into the passing breeze
Oh I’ll find it I’ll hear all the noise
Ringing out like a bell
But if the truth could be revealed
Like some old path the fall concealed
Would the best of them all
Ever really know
What’s to become of the
Earth we have sown
Or the chill in our bones
The ill we condone
I've never felt this freedom before
But I’m sure it’ll fade
Just like the memory of being born
After all this time
I’m just learning of my ways
Well I just caught wind of the deal
I don’t know too much
I cannot reinvent the wheel
But here is a car I made with
Four that I found
So spend some time
Here with me
Oh and maybe we’ll agree
That there’s something about
The open road
That can heal a broken soul
Become your own and
You’ll feel right at home
Well I took a trip to clear my mind
